WHO WE ARE

Our Roots
Our mission actually started in 1987 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. It started out in our home taking in the homeless. They were fed two meals per day and were being guided spiritually which was founded by our former (deceased) pastor, Pastor McCollum.  He had a vision because he experienced homelessness as a young convert. We decided more space was needed to accommodate the people we were serving.  We eventually o found some land in the county for sale and purchased it.  We built the property up to standards and purchased mobile homes that later would accommodate a family and rooms for individuals.Eventually, we needed more space to take in women with children so we built on to our own home for a safe haven for them. It did not come without some challenges but we still moved forward to be able to help individuals with drug and alcohol addictions. We were successful with some and of course there were those who found it not to be what they expected. In the long run, we were a blessing to many people.  Many stayed and some left once they were able to handle life again with their addictions under control. Our mission was to be able to help as many people as possible and still is.........

Our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly in the actions of our initiatives. From the moment we started our work in 2000, we understood that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch FOUNDATION FOR FEEDING HUNGRY CHILDREN. We strive to make a positive change in all of our pursuits.
